Awareness-filled August Activities ๐
If you havenโt already unpacked your suitcase, hit the beach or pitched a tent, you probably will in August. The holiday season is well and truly upon us, especially across Europe. And there is no shortage of festival fun, park-picnics or parties, for those who stay at home.
Here in the UK alone, we have the likes of Notting Hill Carnival, Edinburgh International Festival and The National Eisteddfod of Wales.
Not to mention the 100โs of food and music festivals country wide. Easy to get carried away in the party!
So whether at home or on holiday, it may help to intentionally remember our health and mental wellbeing along the way. So this monthโs calendar shares 31 awareness-filled activities, to do just that.
August also gives us an opportunity to build solidarity across generations as we celebrate International Youth Day on 12th August. World Humanitarian Day exactly a week later, calls for climate action solidarity asking us to join #theHumanRace. And for cat lovers like me, you get to #BeCatCurious on International Cat Day on 8th August.
