Meaningful May Connection 💚

In the very heart of Spring, with its burst of life and colours, the month of May gives us so many meaningful ways to connect…with nature and the people and the communities around us. Its vitality and energy reminds us that we are very much part of this earth and the environment. And that even if we are experiencing challenges, or feeling alone, that life and growth will continue to happen. And be there for us, regardless of our ups and downs!

‘May’ is said to have originated from the name “Maia”.

Maia was a goddess in both ancient Greek and Roman mythology. In Roman mythology, the earth goddess Maia was known for growth and fertility. So, the month of May, with its abundant growth, is naturally more closely connected to this origin.

It’s quite fitting then that we celebrate “World Maternal Mental Health Day”, calling for people, charities and support groups to be “Stronger Together” on 5th May, as well as “Mental Health Awareness Week” with its theme of “loneliness”, the week afterwards.

On 1st May we recognise the wonderful work of the RSPB, with its first ever “Dawn Chorus Festival”. And this sense of being ‘together’, with nature and others, sets the tone for the rest of the month. It includes moments to…

Connect meaningfully with people and nature.

Inspire creativity and fun.

Collaborate and share ideas with others.

Show compassion for those, who might need your support.

I really hope you find some meaningful connection in this May calendar. And whether you use it as part of your free guided course, or on it’s own, that it will be a helpful way to support your mental health and wellbeing, and those around you.

Please feel free to share on the buttons below, with anyone who might benefit.

Have a wonderful day!
