Dig Deep in December ❤️


December is a month we rarely forget.

The end of the year in sight. TV adverts, shops and the media making it very clear that now is the time for gifts and Christmas lists. For making merry, for indulgence and for making others happy with expensive gifts. But there’s obviously more to it than that. And not everyone celebrates in the same way!

It’s easy to get caught up in rushing about. And risk missing the very things, we are seeking in the first place, the…

  • quality time with friends which bring us real happiness

  • quiet moments of reflection which restore and calm us

  • spirit of kindness and giving which bring joy and a sense of wellbeing to all

The things which we can make the month of December most memorable!

But in a year in the UK where we’ve seen 1 x day over 40 degrees, 2 x Autumns and 3 x Prime Ministers, we could be forgiven for thinking we’ve seen it all! And no surprise if we are all feeling a little worn out. How can we possibly raise our energy levels to make this one stand out?

It might help to create some space.

The first full week of December 2nd - 8th gives us a time to reflect on National Grief Awareness Week - take a look at the wonderful resources provided by The Good Grief Trust. And a reliable source of celebration and fun, can always be found with Save the Children’s Christmas Jumper Day.

And with the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, World Human Rights Day on 10th December, is a great reminder of our connection to others. And a call for more generosity of spirit, in a month of giving.
